Sinus Infection Infant Viral What Is The Average Length Of Time?

What is the average length of time? - sinus infection infant viral

a sinus infection or cold on? My 8 months old baby has been sick since Monday. It has stuffy nose and cough. She has no fever, no change in appetite, no vomiting or diarrhea. no other symptoms, but congestion and cough. We bring to the doctor 4 times in 4 days and the same thing to say "no fever, no need to - they can not give you anything if it viral and viral. My husband wants to throw to the doctor, and your pumped drugs useless and unnecessary. Somehow, I'm a bad father because I do not agree with this plan. And I wonder how long does a sinus infection / cold last a baby?

Regardless of age, a cold usually lasts 7-10 days. The doctor is correct that there is no reason to take it in. It's nothing I can do.

I would take him to the doctor to be sure to have a sinus infection and antibiotics can antibiotics make you feel better. Thus, sinus infections are not always characterized by fever. Colds usually last about a week so it could already feel better by Monday. For the moment, in a room with a humidifier to help him breathe and to get the mucus from the lungs, can not give these drugs a humidifier is probably the best way forward.

Ten days is about right, if the mucus is discolored, if it needs antibiotics. However, antibiotics do not help viral infections. Based on what you say you are doing the right thing. If after one week, if not better, bring him to the doctor for additional testing.

My daughter is 8 months and had to go up to 3 weeks of illness and the failure of cosmetic surgery with a bad cough and cold, I took her to the doctor every two days and said that c it was viral, 3 weeks, she had enough, I brought her into the hospital and a skilled workforce, and revised Paed had pneumonia! 48 hours of antibiotics and it was much better.
The diagnosis of the physician is the croup, the problems of viral infection and lactose, and the whole time, which had a lung infection.
Their daughter, I was sick only 4 days and I agree with you that will be pumped full of drugs, the wrong answer, just keep an eye on him, and if more than one week will be postponed.
God bless you, I wish you a speedy recovery.

I feel for you and your husband you always wanted to take my child to cough the doctor. It started in kindergarten at the age of 6 months and 6 months and 5 days he got his first cold. On average, further 1 to 2 weeks or more. Sometimes symptoms do not remain in the background and takes the baby so long to remove it.

Your doctor is correct, infection or fever, there is little they can do. I have just been approved on the use of religious saline sprays into the nose to clear mucus with a humidifier to go every night by Vicks on his chest every night. We have placed the so-called Olbas oil on a cotton swab in the rooms, but out of reach of small hands. If your child cough, try rubbing Vicks on the feet and give up socks to wear. It works wonders for a variety of cough.

Much love and hugs, and if you try to stop the cough cough on its own, but kept short (but not too tight), the stop coughing.

BTW - you can build in the mucus and muscousthe stomach. If so, you may vomit after eating. This is normal and not be overly enthusiastic. Vomit vomit again - clean up twice - and let the head through the door with her doctor (same day).

And a lot of fluids - as it is - milk and water only - none of that with sugar. Will only worsen as cold.

A very long time - but my wife has long been suffering a cold with a father who trembles and jumps at the first sign or disease. The chances are good that your husband will receive the same protection gene, all fathers of 2 milliseconds, after his son or daughter is doing just what comes naturally, but not very useful

From 7 to 10 days is normal, and some may go away and just viral. If it only on Monday that it is too early to worry. I would like to treat only the symptoms and let them go. Just watch for fever or other sticky green or yellow nose, which is a sign that a sinus infection could.

To help with congestion, suggest you run hot water in the shower and sit in the bathroom with her son. The hot steam dissolves congestion. For this purpose a few times a day and use saline drops in the nose if necessary. You can help provide water in a cup Sippie also because of the clear liquids.
